Refund Policy

At TechHub Hungary, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. We understand that sometimes a product may not meet your expectations or may arrive damaged. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions and procedures for returns, exchanges, and refunds.

Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase. By placing an order with us, you agree to the terms of this Refund Policy.

1. Return Eligibility

1.1 General Return Conditions

You may return most new, unopened items within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. We also accept returns of opened items within 14 days if the item is defective, damaged, or not as described.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be:

  • In the same condition that you received it
  • In the original packaging with all accessories, manuals, and documentation
  • Accompanied by the original receipt or proof of purchase
  • Returned with a valid Return Authorization Number (RMA)

1.2 Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Software products with broken seals or activated license keys
  • Custom-configured computers or components that have been assembled according to your specifications
  • Items marked as "Final Sale" or "Non-Returnable" at the time of purchase
  • Gift cards
  • Products with removed or damaged serial numbers
  • Items showing signs of misuse or unauthorized modifications

1.3 Warranty Returns

Products covered by manufacturer warranties should be returned directly to the manufacturer according to their warranty policies after the initial 14-day return period has elapsed. We can assist you with the warranty claim process if needed.

2. Return Process

2.1 Initiating a Return

To start the return process, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact our customer service team at returns@techhubhungary.com or call +443646766193 within 14 days of receiving your order.
  2. Provide your order number, the items you wish to return, and the reason for the return.
  3. Our team will review your request and, if approved, issue a Return Authorization Number (RMA).
  4. Pack the item(s) securely in the original packaging.
  5. Include the RMA number clearly marked on the outside of the package.
  6. Ship the package to the address provided by our customer service team.

2.2 Return Shipping

For returns due to our error (incorrect item, defective product, or damaged during shipping), we will provide a prepaid shipping label or arrange for pickup at no cost to you.

For returns due to customer preference (changed mind, no longer needed), you are responsible for the return shipping costs. We recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance, as we cannot be responsible for items lost during return shipping.

2.3 Return Inspection

All returned items undergo inspection upon receipt to verify their condition and the reason for return. If a returned item does not meet our return policy requirements, the item may be sent back to you and no refund will be issued.

3. Refunds

3.1 Refund Processing

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item and inform you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within 5-10 business days. The time it takes for the refund to appear in your account depends on your payment provider's policies.

3.2 Full Refunds

Full refunds will be issued for:

  • Items that are defective or damaged upon arrival
  • Items that differ significantly from their description on our website
  • Items that were shipped to you in error
  • Unopened items returned within 14 days of delivery

3.3 Partial Refunds

Partial refunds may be issued for:

  • Items with missing accessories or components
  • Items that show signs of use beyond reasonable inspection
  • Items returned without original packaging
  • Items returned after 14 days but within 30 days (subject to a 15% restocking fee)

3.4 Refund Methods

Refunds will be issued using the same payment method used for the original purchase:

  • Credit/Debit Card purchases will be refunded to the same card
  • PayPal purchases will be refunded to your PayPal account
  • Bank transfer purchases will be refunded to the originating bank account
  • In cases where the original payment method is no longer available, we may issue a store credit

3.5 Shipping Costs

Original shipping costs are non-refundable, except in cases where items were defective, damaged, or shipped in error.

4. Exchanges

4.1 Exchange Process

If you need to exchange an item for the same product (for example, a different size or color), please follow the same process as returns, but specify that you want an exchange rather than a refund.

For exchanges, we will cover the shipping costs for sending the replacement item once we receive and inspect the original product.

4.2 Price Differences

If you exchange an item for a more expensive one, you will be billed for the difference in price. If the replacement item is less expensive, we will refund the difference using your original payment method.

5. Damaged or Defective Items

5.1 Reporting Damage

If your item arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery. Please provide photos of the damaged item and packaging to expedite the process.

5.2 Replacement Options

For damaged or defective items, you may choose:

  • A replacement of the same item (subject to availability)
  • A full refund
  • Store credit

5.3 Shipping for Damaged Items

We will cover all shipping costs related to returning and replacing damaged or defective items.

6. Late or Missing Refunds

6.1 Checking Refund Status

If you haven't received a refund yet, first check your bank account or credit card statement again. Then contact your credit card company or bank, as it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

6.2 Contact Us

If you've done all of this and you still have not received your refund, please contact our customer service team for assistance.

7. Special Circumstances

7.1 Sale Items

Only regularly priced items may be refunded. Sale items can only be refunded if they are defective or damaged upon arrival.

7.2 Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you'll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn't marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver.

7.3 International Returns

For international orders, customers are responsible for all customs duties, taxes, and shipping costs associated with returns, unless the return is due to our error.

8. Exceptions and Right of Withdrawal

8.1 European Union Customers

If you are a customer in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase without giving any reason within 14 days from the day on which you or a third party indicated by you acquires physical possession of the goods.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision by sending an unequivocal statement by email to returns@techhubhungary.com or by mail to our physical address.

8.2 Policy Exceptions

We reserve the right to make exceptions to this policy at our discretion. Any exceptions will be communicated to you via email. Exceptions granted in specific cases do not entitle other customers to the same treatment and do not constitute a waiver of our rights.

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The revised policy will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
